Overview

This is a Joomla module which implements a simple static image ad.  You can configure up to six different ads, and the module draws from this pool at random.  Overall ad box width and height are configurable, as is the actual dimensions of each ad image itself.  Once clicked, a new browser window (or tab) is opened displaying the redirect URL you can specify for each ad.  At the same time, your original web page reloads and continues to display on the browser.  You can also configure an optional email notification recipient, subject line, and body of the message if a customer clicks the ad.


To install, login as the Joomla administrator, and select "Extensions" - "Install/Uninstall". 
Browse for the downloaded ZIP file and click "Upload File and Install". 

After installation, typical usage would be to configure it as a module in the "right" position.

Don't forget to enable the module!

Tips

  • Leave "Redirect URL" blank for any of the six ad slots you do not want to display
  • You MUST have any ad images uploaded, or they must be accessible via the Internet
  • Test any ad images in a separate browser window to make sure they're accessible
  • Leave the email notification address blank if you don't want a notification to be sent

  • Provide an option for the ad to *not* appear in a separate window
